What is the difference between AGL and ASL?
AGL = Above Ground Level.
ASL = Above Sea Level.
Generally speaking, AGL is higher than ASL.
Above Ground Level, or AGL, describes the literal height above the ground over which you’re flying. Mean Sea Level, or MSL, is your true altitude or elevation. It’s the average height above standard sea level where the atmospheric pressure is measured in order to calibrate altitude.
You may want to ask the dropzone whether they jump ASL or AGL, as this can make an appreciable difference in your skydive experience. Let Skydive Blue Sky take you higher!
Are Skydive Blue Sky's instructors certified?
Yes, of course. The CSPA is authorized by the Aero Club of Canada to issue parachuting certificates on behalf of the FAI, in the general interest of sport aviation in Canada. The CSPA issues Certificates of Proficiency (CoPs) to recognize ability and knowledge.

Skydiving is an extreme sport that involves inherent risks. Tandem Skydiving was designed to introduce the general public to our sport in the safest way possible. Statistically, Tandem skydiving is far less dangerous then every day activities such as driving on the highway.
How long is the flight/freefall?
Once you are geared up and loaded into the aircraft, you can expect a scenic 15 minute flight to altitude. Once the door opens be prepared for 40 seconds of free fall at 120 MPH. Your Canopy flight is approximately 5 min, although the more spins you do the shorter it is!
