Rigorous safety protocols and thorough pre-jump training further enhance safety. While inherent risks exist in any adventure sport, the statistics demonstrate that tandem skydiving in Alberta has a remarkably high safety record. What is the difference between AGL and ASL?
AGL (Above Ground Level) and ASL (Above Sea Level) are terms used to measure altitude in aviation. AGL refers to the height of an object or aircraft above the ground directly beneath it, providing a local perspective. When a Skydive business advertises 13,000 feet, you may want to ask is that AGL or ASL, as this can make an appreciable difference in your skydive experience. Let us take you higher!
